DBI was featured in the August 2022 issue of “Masonry Magazine” with the feature story: "Third-Gen Dallas Stone and Masonry Company Continues to Lead the Next Generation."

Featuring a timeline of success over the past 65 years, the article also looks at current challenges and what the company is doing to attract and retain the next generation of stone and masonry workers.

National Stone Institute’s “Building Stone” Magazine

Dee Brown Inc. is prominently featured in the Fall 2022 edition of the Natural Stone Institute’s “Building Stone Magazine”. On page 60 – 75, DBI’s work on the Old Parkland Campus in Dallas is showcased in “A Concrete Argument for Stone,” examining why stone and masonry products were selected over cast stone for longevity and durability. Then, on pages 76-77, the magazine details a unique art installation DBI helped create in “Go Bould(er) Go Home.” DBI sourced 29 boulders from quarries across the country and helped suspend the art installation in a parking garage at Freedom Place on the Old Parkland Campus. The boulders varied in color, size and shape, weighing from 1700 pounds to 22,000 pounds each.

DBI is featured in a Masonry Contractors Association of America membership ad in the September 2024 issue of “Masonry Magazine.” DBI has been a member of the MCAA since 1958. In 2025, DBI will turn 70 years old as MCAA celebrates its 75th anniversary.
