Robert V. "Buddie" Barnes, Jr., Chairman of the Board, CEO
Mr. Barnes graduated from Texas A & M University – Commerce with a degree in Industrial Technology with majors in Architecture and Business Management. Mr. Barnes serves on numerous civic and trade Association boards and is very active in the community. Mr. Barnes has worked in the construction industry since 1964 and has been with the Dee Brown Companies since 1969.

Michael D. "Mike" Humphrey, Executive Vice President, CFO
Mr. Humphrey graduated from the University of Texas – Arlington in 1975 and obtained his CPA certification while working with Ernst & Ernst in 1977. Mr. Humphrey joined the Dee Brown Companies in 1982 as the Controller and became their CFO in 1990.

Robert V. "Rob" Barnes III, President, COO
Mr. Barnes has an MBA from Southern Methodist University and an undergraduate degree from John Brown University in Business Management, with a minor in Construction Management. Mr. Barnes currently serves as the President of the Texas Masonry Council and is active in the community.
Mr. Barnes worked summers during high school in field operations, and college part time with various aspects of project administration. In 1992 he began full time and has four and a half years in project management, and ten and one half years in Estimating and Marketing with 7 and a half years as Vice President of Estimating and Marketing.
January 2007 Mr. Barnes became responsible for all aspects of Construction.

Ty L. Harding, Sr. Vice President, Estimating & Marketing
Mr. Harding was educated at Lamar University. Mr. Harding has extensive experience in material purchasing, management of contracts and complete estimating experience for any size masonry or stone project. Mr. Harding has been in the construction industry since 1984 and with the Dee Brown Companies since 1987.

Jim Hensley, Jr., Vice President, Project Management
Mr. Hensley graduated from the University of Texas – Austin with a degree in Economics. Mr. Hensley has experience in all phases of project management and has handled projects with values ranging up to $ 13,000,000.00. Mr. Hensley joined the Dee Brown Companies in 1990.

David Rohlfs, Vice President Estimating/Marketing
Mr. Rohlfs graduated from John Brown University with a degree in Construction Management. Mr. Rohlfs has extensive experience in material purchasing and complete estimating experience for any size masonry or stone project. Mr. Rohlfs has been in the construction industry since 1986 and has been with the Dee Brown Companies since 1997.

Greg Hensley, Estimator
Mr. Hensley was educated at Northlake Community College. Mr. Hensley is a journeyman brick mason and stone mason who started his career with the Dee Brown Companies in 1981. Mr. Hensley moved from the field into estimating in 1990 and now has an extensive background in masonry and stone takeoff.

Veronica Owens, Business Development
The newest member of our team joins DBI with a BBA in Corporate Finance from UT Arlington and experience in the construction and stone industry since 1996, including negotiating multiple multi-million dollar stone contracts as well as purchasing and importing materials for both the new retail construction and remodel markets. Since 2006, Ms. Owens has been in Sales and Marketing with a focus on the development of interior finishes for high-end residential and commercial markets.

Tim Hughes, Sr. Vice President Project Management
Mr. Hughes graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He is a Vice President and a project manager with 26 years of experience beginning as a bricklayer / laborer during college breaks. He has 24 years tenure with Dee Brown companies throughout the U.S. His experience includes project management of over 100 projects with varying types of masonry products, systems, and varying degrees of complexity including projects that ranged from granite countertops to the J. Paul Getty museum which totaled $66,000,000.
Mr. Hughes has experience in buy-out of materials, procurement of shop drawings, subcontract buy-outs, cost control, scheduling, preparing and monitoring RFI’s and all other proposed changes. He has recently completed project management of the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa California which included $6,300,000 in CMU and $7,200,000 in interior and exterior stone cladding for Fluor Enterprises and the Los Angeles unified school district high school which was a $3,700,000 CMU project.
John D. "David" Barnes, Vice President Project Management
Mr. Barnes graduated from Texas A & M University – Commerce in December 2000 with a degree in Industrial Technology.
Upon graduation from high school, Mr. Barnes began working for the Dee Brown Companies part time as a laborer, then as a brick mason, stone mason, and certified welder, until his graduation from College.

W. Tracy Webster, Safety Director/Project Manager
Mr. Webster graduated from Texas A&M University – Commerce with a degree in Business Administration. Mr. Webster serves on the Safety and Training Committee with Mason Contractors Association of America and the Safety Forum at Quoin – A Chapter of AGC. Mr. Webster has worked in the construction industry since 1979 and for the Dee Brown Companies since 1988. Mr. Webster has vast experience working with LEEDS projects.

Robert G. Harris, Estimator for our fabrication plant and small projects division
Mr. Harris was educated at the University of North Texas. Mr. Harris began working for the Dee Brown Companies while in high school and has worked in many phases of our business since 1985. Mr. Harris currently provides the estimating for our fabrication plant and small projects division.

Ricky Harris, Project Management for our fabrication plant and special projects division
Mr. Harris began working for the Dee Brown Companies while in high school. Mr. Harris has experience as a laborer, operator, truck driver, stone mason and fabrication plant manager. Mr Harris has worked for the Dee Brown Companies since 1975 and moved into project management during 2002.

Phyllis A. Moynihan, Estimator
Ms. Moynihan graduated from Texas A&M University – Commerce with a degree in Construction Science. Ms. Moynihan started her career with DBI as an Intern in the summer of 2007 and was hired full time as an Estimator after her graduation in May 2008.

Floyd A. "Buster" Slavens, General Superintendent
Mr. Slavens was educated at Richland College. Mr. Slavens began working for the Dee Brown Companies during high school and while attending classes at Northlake Community College began working full time. Mr. Slavens has experience as a laborer, operator, brick mason, stone mason and has erected stone clad architectural precast and trusses. Mr. Slavens, as a foreman for Dee Brown Companies, has supervised construction on projects across the entire United States. Mr. Slavens has worked for the Dee Brown Companies since 1970.

Donald Aragon, Vice President Field Operations
After attending Citrus College in California, Don began working with Dee Brown Companies in 1979. During his tenure, he has spent 15 years as Field Supervisor with the last 5 years as Vice President of Field Operations.
Among the many stone and masonry projects he has supervised are some of the most significant in the country, including The Getty Museum in Los Angeles and the Orange County Performing Arts Center. Don's expertise includes restoration of all masonry, including Terra Cotta.

Justin Daniels, Project Management
Prior to his graduation from Tarleton State University in 2001 with a degree in Agricultural Economics, Mr. Daniels began his tenure with Dee Brown, Inc. while attending classes at Texas A&M Commerce. He hired on as a general laborer, then progressed to mason tender, and eventually worked as a stone setter.
In March of 2006, Mr. Daniels was hired by Dee Brown, Inc. to work as a Project Manager.
